Loss Guide collects only the information you provide directly: your email address (if you create an account), the name of your loved one (optional, used only to personalize your checklist), your ZIP code (optional, used to find state-specific guidance), and your checklist progress and notes.

Your information is used solely to provide the Loss Guide service. We do not sell your data. We do not share it with third parties for marketing purposes. We do not use it for advertising.

How we store it

Your checklist data is currently stored locally in your browser. When you create an account, your data is encrypted and stored securely in our database so you can access it from any device.

Your rights
